Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to quit smoking, if not for themselves then for others.
1. Introduction
a. Attention- mom- never thought id smoke

c. Thesis statement: you affect your life greatly as well as many other’s
Transition: it’s important to realize what you are putting into yourself as well as others when you are smoking.
2. Ingrediants
a. 600 ingrediants and 4000 chemicals
b. at least 50 cause cancer
Transition: There are some affects of the brain that cigarettes affect severely
3. Cerebral Cortex
a. controls impulse and decision making
b. Thinner
c. Alzheimers of disease and vascular dementia
Transition: Because of the many things in your immediate health that smoking affects I will tell you the process your body goes through when you quit
